Burial/Cremation
A burial means that the coffin will be lowered into the earth, usually directly after the ceremony.
The family can choose if only they should go to the grave, or if all the guests should follow, in this case the final farewell is at the graveside and any hand bouquets that people have may be placed into the grave after the coffin.
At a cremation funeral the coffin with the deceased is present during the ceremony, a farewell by the coffin can be taken by those who wish to. After the ceremony the deceased is cremated. The burial of the urn should then take place within 12 months of the death.
Another alternative is to have a ceremony with the urn, this is known as a direct cremation, the burial of the urn can take place directly after the funeral or at a later date.
